Alexander happy with Buxton win
A young Silkmen side including several trialists emerged victorious at Buxton's Silverlands ground thanks to a late goal by Tom France.
Alexander said: "It's always good to get a result and it's nice to see one or two getting 90 minutes under their belt.
"It's also always useful to see how the younger lads do against bigger, stronger players than they might be used to facing.
"And playing games like this is just what they need because some of them may well be involved in the senior side this season."
