The visitors played most of the game on the back foot against in-form Vale, who were aiming for a third straight victory.[LNB]But Alexander was delighted with his side's determined display and urged the supporters to be more realistic in their ambitions after the 0-0 draw.[LNB]He said: "We were poor against Northampton in midweek and we needed a performance like this to give us something to build on. Vale are flying and this was a very good point.[LNB]"It's very easy to criticise and the fans will want us to get into the Champions League, but our priority is to stay in this division.[LNB]"If we can get two or three more quality players to the club we would have a chance of getting out of this league, but finding and affording those players is difficult."[LNB][LNB]
