Alexander cleaning up Silkmen act
The Silkmen racked up a glut of bookings and red cards last season but Alexander has sought to rectify the problem by bringing in new players in the summer.
He said: "I think we had picked up five red cards already by this time last season.
"It's obviously always better to be able to change the side because you feel it is the right move rather than because you are forced to because of a suspension.
"We have brought in the players who we think can play the game in the right way, and I think the fans can see what we are trying to do in that respect."
