Alexander blasts 'diabolical' decision

New boy on the block Chris Sutton earned his second successive win as Lincoln boss courtesy of Rene Howe's 68th-minute penalty, after the scorer had seemingly tripped over the legs of keeper Jon Brain. Alexander, who had previously led Lincoln to five successive play-off campaigns, was not amused. "It was a diabolical decision," he said. "What was worse was that the free-kick given against Lee Bell on the halfway line that led to the goal was a nonsense. "I was delighted with our performance and disappointed that the players will go away with nothing thanks to the quality of the refereeing, but we tend to get that at this level."
