Gourcuff to return to training on Monday

Lyon midfielder Yoann Gourcuff is expected to return to training on Monday, the coach of the Ligue 1 club, Remi Garde, revealed on Thursday.

The France international injured himself during his side's 4-1 victory over Troyes on August 18, spraining his right knee and damaging internal lateral ligaments.

"He should be back on Monday," said Garde during a press conference.

"I can't say more than that, nor can I predict what will happen between now and then."

Gourcuff is expected to be able to return to action by the beginning of November.
