Town to launch Davis appeal

Luton Town boss Mike Newell plans to launch an appeal against Sol Davis' red card in the stalemate at Stoke City.
A 30th minute bust-up between Davis and Ricardo Fuller saw the City man push the Town defender - a petulant act which earned the Jamaican his second dismissal of the season.
But Davis then tried to reduce the City ranks further with a wild lunge on Mamady Sidibe.
Referee Trevor Kettle handed the Hatters star an instant red card but Newell saw the incident differently, saying: "That challenge by Davis was as good a tackle as I've seen for a long while.
"He's gone through everything but he's definitely won the ball so we'll appeal that one.
"Ten or 15 years ago people would have laughed if you'd got sent off for something like that, now you can get sent off if your shadow goes near someone.
"With the rules as they are you might as well take the tackling out of the game. That was a proper tackle and I won't have anyone telling me that was a sending off ever."
