Luton Town have signed Akanni-Sunday Wasiu from Colchester United on a month's loan.
The Nigerian striker has made 13 appearances for the U's since his summer arrival from non-league side St Albans, hitting the net twice.
Luton boss Mick Harford revealed he has been interested in the forward for some time, telling the club's official website: "We tried to bring him in over the summer and he did well pre-season for Colchester and played against us.
"Unfortunately Geraint Williams got there before us and he went on to do really well there.
"Geraint left and Paul Lambert has come in and I'm delighted he's become available as we'd always retained an interest in him."
On Wasiu, he added: "He's a big, strong, quick and passionate lad with a real desire and hunger about him which we like.
"With all the strikers we've got at the club at the moment he offers something a bit different."
The 24-year-old could figure for the Hatters in Saturday's game at Darlington.
