Richard Jackson was signed by derby from non-league Scarborough in 1999 after 2 years with the club. He made only two appearances for the club in his first season-both as a sub and he didnt break into the first team until 2003 when he won the clubs young player of the year award making 21 appearances. Jackson has been a regular in the side over the past few years and he made his 100th appearance in August 2005 against Watford but he was sent off.
