New signing Paul Peschisolido claims he turned down interest from several Championship clubs to join Luton Town.
The 36-year-old striker penned a one-year deal with the Hatters earlier in the week following his release by Derby County and claimed the chance to work with manager Kevin Blackwell again prompted him to drop down to League One.
"I've worked for Kevin in the past at Sheffield United and we got on very well. I liked what he did, he was very enthusiastic and I liked his philosophies on football," he told the club's official website.
"I had quite a few offers from the Championship but Kevin impressed me the most.
"After winning promotion last season (with Derby), I'd like to think I could make it two promotions in two years.
"There are no easy games no matter what league you play in and it won't be any different this season.
"However, hopefully we'll have enough to push on to keep ourselves near the top and get promoted."
