Luton Town's dreadful season is staggering to an injury-ravaged close after it was confirmed that Russell Perrett has suffered an ankle problem.
The veteran defender is unlikely to feature against Southend United and joins Sol Davis (calf), Ahmet Brkovic (eye), Steve Robinson (back) and Kevin Foley (ankle) in the Roots Hall treatment room.
Hatters boss Kevin Blackwell confirmed to Town's official website: "Russell's had an ankle problem that he's had for the last couple of weeks, so if we don't have him ready by Saturday then we'll be down to 16 players.
"It's pointless me now pushing anybody to play, so I doubt whether we'll see the likes of Marlon Beresford, (Sam) Parkin, (Paul) Underwood and the other lads who are out injured between now and the end of the season."
