Luton Town striker Sam Parkin is hoping to put recent injury problems behind him and help the Hatters challenge for an immediate return to the Championship.
The 26-year-old made just eight appearances for Town in his first season with the club and is desperate to do better in the new season.
Parkin told the Wiltshire Gazette: "Of course I would prefer to be playing in the Championship, but first of all I have to regain fitness.
"I am working hard to recover from ankle surgery and I am confident I can be fit for the start of the season.
"The last couple of years have been ridiculous, but fingers crossed that is all behind me now.
"I want to regain the form I had at Swindon and I can only do that by enjoying a run free of injury."
