Luton Town striker Drew Talbot turned down the chance to move to Brescia on transfer deadline day.
The 21-year-old former Sheffield Wednesday star had the opportunity to sign for the Serie B side, but opted to stay at Kenilworth Road and help in the Hatters' bid to avoid relegation to League Two.
Town boss Mick Harford told the club's official website: "There was interest in Drew Talbot, but that's all disappeared.
"Brescia had shown a lot of interest in him, but Drew doesn't want to go and play in Italy. It's such a short period of time to decide to go and move to another country.
"Some clubs have asked about taking players on loan but we aren't really in the situation to loan anybody out."
