Newell blasts female officials

Luton Town boss Mike Newell launched a blistering attack on female match officials and his own chairman after the Hatters' 3-2 defeat to QPR.
Newell was furious when his side were not awarded a penalty when they were winning the Kenilworth Road clash 2-1 and was quick to turn his ire on assistant referee Amy Rayner.
He said: "I thought we were the better side again. We had the chances before they scored and after they scored, and it should have been more than 2-1 because we had a blatant penalty turned down.
"It was a bad decision from the linesman or should I say lineswoman.
"But she shouldn't be here. It sounds sexist, but I am sexist. We have enough problems with all this politically correct stuff in this country.
"It's not going to improve the standard of officiating by bringing women into the game.
"What are we going to do when they're all women? Then we'll really be in trouble."
On his chairman Bill Tomlins, he said: "I haven't spoken to him for months and I really want to know why he's here and what he's doing here.
"He hasn't done anything or made a decision since he's been here. Everything he's got into he's messed up and I'm just about fed up with it."
