Luton appoint new coaches

Luton Town have confirmed that they have appointed Kevin Watson and Alan Neilson as first-team coaches at Kenilworth Road. Watson and Neilson are to look after reserve team matters as well as assisting first-team manager Mick Harford. Both men arrived at the club in the summer, Watson arriving on a free transfer from Colchester United, while Neilson joined the Hatters to take charge of the club's youth set-up. Harford backed the appointments, telling the club's official website: "They have been absolutely fantastic in their support of me. "Both of them share the same philosophy and passion for football as me and I'm sure the structure will work well." Luton reached the zero points mark on Tuesday evening with a 2-2 draw at Chester. They started the season with a 30-point deduction due to insolvency issues and paying agents via a third party, but now lie just 14 points adrift of safety.
