Luton Town midfielder Richard Langley is hoping to be back in first-team contention before the end of the season.
The 28-year-old has missed the whole of the campaign to date due to a serious knee injury, but lasted more than 70 minutes of a recent reserve team clash with MK Dons.
He told the Bedford Times: "I felt quite sharp at the start, but towards the end I started to feel a bit tired.
"It's difficult getting back into it, but I'll just keep working hard and putting my shift in on the training ground and in the gym to build up my fitness and ensure that I'm ready for first-team football.
"I feel okay and there have been no hiccups so far, so that's a positive thing.
"It would be nice to have some sort of role to play before the end of season for the first team."
