Hatters take Rendell on loan

Peterborough United striker Scott Rendell has been granted permission to join Luton Town on loan. Rendell has made five appearances for the League One side this season but is expected to drop further down the pecking order when Aaron McLean makes his return from a dislocated elbow this weekend. "(Luton manager) Mick Harford watched our reserve team game on Wednesday and wanted Scott," Posh boss Darren Ferguson told his club's official website. "He's a striker himself so I am sure he will develop Scott's game. "I just felt that Scott needs games as we have Aaron, Craig Mackail-Smith, Shaun Batt and George Boyd who can play there and he wouldn't get in ahead of those players at the minute."
