Hatters swoop for White

Luton Town have announced the signing of Darlington defender Alan White, sparking his second spell at the club.

The veteran centre-half has left home town club Darlington to rejoin the Hatters - a side he has made 81 appearances for.

Luton manager Mick Harford spoke of his delight at the signing, joining a host of new faces at the club.

He told Luton's official website: "Alan White's contribution at Darlington was massive. He has been a rock for them at the heart of their defence.

"He had a great game against us up at their place and I believe he will play a big part in what we're trying to achieve here."

"His arrival will give added competition and strength in-depth to our squad which is what we lacked last season."

Harford also confirmed that more signings are on the way.

"I'm looking to further strengthen the squad and will look to do so over the next two or three weeks," he added.
