Hatters recapture Spring

Luton Town have re-signed midfielder Matthew Spring in a £200,000 deal from Watford.

Spring, 27, made 289 appearances for the Hatters before leaving Kenilworth Road for Leeds United on a free transfer in 2004.

The Harlow-born midfielder struggled with injury at Elland Road and eventually made a £150,000 switch to Watford 12 months later.

Spring - who has made six Premiership appearances this season - has signed and two-and-a-half year deal with the Hatters and will go straight into the squad to face Barnsley on Saturday.
