Hatters lodge Keane appeal
27 Nov 2008 - 07:10:15
Luton Town boss Mick Harford has decided to appeal against Keith Keane's red card in Tuesday's defeat to Brentford.
The Hatters captain was dismissed for a challenge on Charlie MacDonald, but Harford was unimpressed with the decision.
He said: "Their boy dived. He knocked the ball too far and he's dived over Keith's leg. It was never a sending off."
Of his side's latest defeat, which keeps Town rooted to the foot of the League Two table, Harford added: "The message to the fans, as they're as disappointed as anyone, is that I promise when we turn up against Bournemouth, the first half won't be as bad as against Brentford.
"We never got started. I think they got the ball in the box one or two times and scored a goal.
"I'm starting to question myself - are the training and tactics right? Am I picking the right players? Have I brought the right players into the football club?
"But I'll keep grafting and I'll remain upbeat. I'll question myself and the players and I'll demand things from myself and the players."
