Hatters launch appeal

Luton Town have launched an appeal against Marlon Beresford's red card in Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Preston North End.
The former Middlesbrough shot-stopper was dismissed when he was alleged to have brought down Kevin Nugent inside the penalty area.
After the game Hatters boss Mike Newell said: "It wasn't ideal to lose your keeper but it's a stupid rule by stupid people.
"The keeper tries to make an honest challenge and dives at someone's feet, and then it's a penalty and a sending off and a suspension."
A Disciplinary Commission will hear the claim on Tuesday.
