Harford sounds rallying cry
18 Mar 2009 - 12:13:16
Mick Harford believes Luton Town have been given fresh hope of avoiding relegation following Tuesday's 2-1 win over fellow strugglers Grimsby Town.
Asa Hall's 90th-minute winner has left the rock-bottom Hatters 12 points adrift of safety, but Harford has sounded a rallying cry ahead of the run-in.
"I've said to the players we've got nine games left, we've got nine cup finals," he told the club's official website.
"I believe and I keep believing. At the moment we seem to be taking one step forward and two steps back.
"This Saturday (at home to Macclesfield Town) is the biggest game of the season. If we play like we did tonight then we've got a chance."
