Luton Town boss Mick Harford admitted Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Bournemouth felt like a defeat.
The Hatters failed to significantly close the gap to another side who started the season with a points deduction and afterwards Harford was left to rue a lack of goals.
The stalemate left the Kenilworth Road club still 19 points adrift of safety.
"We've only had one loss in 12 games which is crazy, but that's the situation we're in," he told the club's official website.
"In different circumstances I would have been more than satisfied with a point tonight.
"I could not fault the performance, effort, work-rate and commitment of the players, but it's another draw which feels like a defeat."
