Luton Town manager Mick Harford hopes the Johnstone's Paint Trophy can provide some light relief for his embattled players this season.
The Hatters, who are adrift at the foot of the League Two table after starting the season on minus 30 points, booked their place in the area last four after a 1-0 quarter-final victory over Walsall on Tuesday evening.
"It would be fantastic for the club if we got to Wembley in this competition," claimed Harford. "It's a long time since we have been there.
"We thoroughly deserved to win, and no disrespect to Walsall.
"We started the game well and continued for the whole 90 minutes playing decent football."
