Beresford boosts Hatters

Luton Town goalkeeper Marlon Beresford is set to be out for just two weeks due to a rib injury sustained against Peterborough United.

The 35-year-old lasted just 15 minutes of the 2-1 win over the Posh, but a scan has revealed that there was no serious damage.

Hatters boss Mike Newell told the club's official website: "It's not as bad as we first feared. He saw the specialist this morning and it's not a hernia as suspected or as we were worried it would be.

"It's just an abductor strain and we're hopeful that he'll be back in ten days to two weeks."
