Beresford appeal fails

Luton Town have failed to have the red card Marlon Beresford received in Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Preston North End overturned.
The former Middlesbrough shot-stopper was dismissed when he brought down Preston striker Kevin Nugent inside the penalty area.
The Hatters opted to appeal against the dismissal but the FA's Disciplinary Commission decided not to rescind the red card at a hearing on Tuesday.
Beresford will now serve a one-match suspension.
