Alnwick heads to Hatters

Luton Town have snapped up Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Ben Alnwick on a three-month loan deal.

The 20-year-old England Under-21 international joined Spurs in January for an initial fee of £900,000 from Sunderland, but has yet to break into the first-team picture at White Hart Lane.

Alnwick will be competing with Dean Brill for a starting spot at Kenilworth Road, having made just over 20 senior appearances to date, all for the Black Cats.

The arrival of Alnwick at Hatters comes after David Forde ended his loan stint with Town to return to Cardiff City.
