Tom: Town survival all that matters

The former Middlesbrough man, who made a permanent move to Kenilworth Road in January, fired the Hatters to a 1-0 win over Macclesfield on Saturday that keeps their dim survival hopes flickering. It was his 10th goal of the season and earned Mick Harford's men their third win out of the last four games, but they still sit a mammoth 11 points from safety with just eight games to play. "It's nice to score goals as a striker but at this part of the season I don't care if I score as long as we pick up enough wins to stay in this league," he told the club's official website. "I'm not bothered about personal accolades for myself or anyone else. "Everyone is fit and everyone is confident we can pick up three points in every game for the rest of the season."
