Parade for trophy-winning Hatters

Mick Harford's men lifted the trophy with a 3-2 extra-time victory over Scunthorpe at Wembley earlier this month, while the club's Under-11s won the European Cup back in February. The Hatters began the season on minus 30 points for entering administration but eventually lost their spirited battle against the drop following Monday's goalless draw with Chesterfield. Luton's managing director Gary Sweet told the club's official website: "This has been the most challenging season in the club's history and our two cup wins show what we can achieve given a level playing field. "The backing we received from the community and our supporters has been nothing short of magnificent and we felt we needed to use this parade to say a big 'thank you' to them for their faith in us." Mayor of Luton, Cllr Lakhbir Singh added: "The parade is just as much for the players as it is for the 40,000 loyal fans who made the trip to London to cheer on Luton during the thrilling match."
