Hatters won't risk duo

Luke Guttridge and Jonathan Smith will not be rushed back into Luton's starting line-up for the visit of Swindon in the Capital One Cup.

Hatters boss John Still is considering making some changes to his side despite getting off to the perfect start to life back in the Football League with a 1-0 win over Carlisle on Saturday.

Guttridge was an unused substitute in Cumbria having recovered from a foot injury, while Smith (leg) did not feature in the squad.

Midfielders Alex Lawless and Shaun Whalley (toe) are two more players who missed out at Brunton Park and look set to remain on the sidelines. Lawless has an outside chance of playing on Tuesday night but he is more likely to be available for the league game against AFC Wimbledon at the weekend.

Swindon will assess Anton Rodgers' injury ahead of the trip.

The former Oldham midfielder sustained an injury in the warm-up on Saturday and his place in the squad was taken by youngster Tom Smith.

Mark Cooper will be forced into at least one change with Derby defender Josh Lelan not being given permission to feature by parent club Derby.

But the Robins boss will hope to keep any other alterations to a minimum after their morale-boosting 3-1 win over Scunthorpe on Saturday.
