Johnny Mullins available for Leeds clash following suspension

Luton defender Johnny Mullins will return to contention for the home EFL Cup tie against Leeds following suspension.

Mullins missed Saturday's defeat at Stevenage due to a one-game ban but is expected to return to Nathan Jones' squad.

Summer signing Alan Sheehan has suffered a setback in his recovery from a calf injury, which has delayed his start to the season, and will not feature against his former club.

Boss Jones has hinted striker Jack Marriott could be rested, with Isaac Vassell, signed from Truro City this summer, hoping for his first start and fellow forward Josh McQuoid also in contention.

Leeds head coach Garry Monk has no new injury or suspension concerns following his side's first league win of the season at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

Full-back Gaetano Berardi, sidelined for at least another five weeks due to a hamstring injury, is Monk's only absentee but plenty of changes are expected for the trip south.

Monk switched his entire midfield for the 2-0 victory at Hillsborough, with Kemar Roofe, Pablo Hernandez and Kalvin Phillips all pushing for recalls after dropping to the bench, while Stuart Dallas will hope to feature after being rested.

New loan signing Pontus Jansson is waiting to make his first appearance for the club after his arrival last week on a season-long loan from Serie A side Torino.
