Luton midfielder Jordan Cook could recover in time to face Hartlepool

Luton will check on midfielder Jordan Cook ahead of their Sky Bet League Two clash against Hartlepool.

Cook was taken off on a stretcher with his neck in a brace during Luton's 2-1 victory over Crawley but Hatters boss Nathan Jones revealed he has an outside chance of recovering in time for the midweek fixture.

Defender Johnny Mullins is available for selection after serving a four-match ban.

Matt Macey's impressive form in goal could keep on-loan Reading goalkeeper Stuart Moore on the bench at Kenilworth Road.

Hartlepool will make late checks on three players who sustained knocks in Saturday's 4-0 loss at Mansfield.

Padraig Amond (neck) and Liam Donnelly (ankle) were both forced off in the match and Adam Bartlett was also struggling in the closing stages.

Striker Billy Paynter has not played since January 7 and is not expected back from his Achilles problem yet.

Carl Magnay (anterior cruciate ligament) has yet to return to training and goalkeeper Trevor Carson's season is over following shoulder surgery.
