Rooney back for Hatters

Luke Rooney returns to the reckoning for Luton as they prepare to host Bury.

Rooney was one of a handful of players absent for the Hatters on Saturday as they slipped to a 1-0 home defeat to AFC Wimbledon. The winger was suspended following his red card against Swindon in the Capital One Cup.

Paul Connolly, Alex Lawless, Jonathan Smith and Shaun Whalley all missed out through injury at the weekend and boss John Still does not expect to have any of the quartet available on Tuesday night.

All four players are back in training and Connolly could be available for the trip to Accrington.

Danny Rose is pushing for a place in Bury's starting XI after making a permanent move to the JD Stadium on Monday.

The striker signed a three-year contract from Barnsley after initially rejoining the Shakers on loan on Friday and scoring within six minutes of his second debut against Hartlepool the following day.

David Flitcroft will also have a goalkeeper quandary with Shwan Jalal (groin) considered fully fit to return after Rob Lainton kept a clean sheet in his absence on Saturday.

Kelvin Etuhu lasted 71 minutes at Pools before coming off with cramp and another game four days later may hamper him. Defender Pablo Mills is fine after a bang to the head but Craig Jones' back problem could keep him out once again.
