Dan Potts banned for Luton

Luton boss Nathan Jones is expected to make minimal changes to his side for the EFL Cup first round clash with Aston Villa.

The Hatters opened their Sky Bet League Two campaign with a convincing 3-0 win at Plymouth and has a near fully-fit squad to choose from.

One player who will definitely miss out is Dan Potts after he was sent off in the final moments of the match at Home Park.

Alan Sheehan is a doubt for the hosts with a calf injury sustained before kick-off on Saturday, so he may not be risked.

Roberto Di Matteo has confirmed that he will be making changes for the trip.

Forwards Jack Grealish and Andre Green are pushing for starts after featuring from the bench in Villa's 1-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

Left-back Jordan Amavi was an unused substitute for that match as he steps up his recovery from a long-term knee injury so could figure at some point.

Aaron Tshibola came on to make his debut against the Owls so could be in contention to start his first game.
