Josh McQuoid stars as Luton beat Barnet

Luton Town made it three straight wins in all competitions with a 2-0 victory over Barnet at Kenilworth Road.

Josh McQuoid set up both goals, Danny Green and Cameron McGeehan scoring either side of half-time.

McQuoid directed an early free header straight at Jamie Stephens but on 25 minutes he motored forward and fed Danny Green, who lashed an effort past Stephens from the edge of the box.

Stephens made a fine stop from McGeehan's deflected attempt and also palmed McQuoid's header behind for a corner.

After the break, Barnet should have made it 1-1 only for Akinde to miss a gilt-edge chance from Yiadom's cross.

Jonathan Smith then fired over the top before the Hatters had a second on 67 minutes. A quickfire break saw McQuoid's cross met by Smith, who appeared to be fouled, with McGeehan on hand to sweep home the rebound.

Luton looked for a third as Smith and McGeehan were both off target, but they held on to triumph and climb to 10th in the table.
