Livorno coach Fernando Orsi has accepted that his club face a major rebuilding job to try and secure a return to Serie A next season.
A 1-0 home defeat by Torino condemned Orsi's side to the drop, with Livorno having won just six of their 37 league games this season.
"We all have to share the blame for what has happened, no-one excluded," Orsi admitted.
"It has been a horrible year and after several years of Serie A, Livorno has now been demoted, but we have to learn that in sport you can also lose.
"The club now has to look ahead and plan the future in order to return to Italy's top-flight.
"There are good players in the squad and I'm sure the club will do everything to return to the top-flight as soon as possible."
