David McNamee has promised to give his all in a bid to keep Livingston in the SPL.
The Almondvale-based club are bottom of the table and favourites to go down but McNamee is remaining loyal to the club that gave him his chance in professional football.
"Livi have been exceptionally good to me," the 23-year-old told the Daily Record.
"They gave me an opportunity to play first-team football that wasn't being offered elsewhere and it isn't right for me to walk away from the club now.
"Though I'm not saying for a minute they are relying on me to stay in the SPL, it would have been a bit more difficult had the team been broken up in January.
"I really want to concentrate on beating relegation because it's not going to be easy for us if we go down.
"Football's a selfish game and you've got to look after yourself because it's a short career but I'm not playing on my decision to stay at all.
"It's a decision I made and one I'm sure Burton O'Brien and a few of the other lads who could have gone elsewhere have made as well. Hopefully, with all the lads staying we can make sure we're not the ones for the drop."
