Queen of the South threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Livingston and lose ground on the Scottish Championship top two.

The Doonhamers had been on course to remain two points adrift of second-placed Rangers after goals from prolific pairing Iain Russell and Gavin Reilly.

Livingston had not scored in their previous five league games, but substitute Daniel Mullen's clever run and finish pulled a goal back before Gary Glen struck again two minutes from the end.

Russell's eighth goal in all competitions gave the visitors the lead on the half-hour, heading in Danny Carmichael's deflected shot, before Reilly converted John Baird's delivery from close range to have his side seemingly coasting to a third successive win.

It was Reilly's seventh goal in the league, moving him level with Hearts' Osman Sow at the top of the division's goalscorers' chart, but Livingston snatched a point through Mullen and Glen.
