Steven Saunders' late goal rescues point for Dumbarton at Livingston

Steven Saunders' last-gasp equaliser secured a 1-1 draw for Dumbarton and denied Livingston their first win in five Ladbrokes Championship games.

Scott Pittman's first-half goal looked to have earned Livi a much-needed win but in-form Dumbarton, who had won their last three in all competitions, levelled the game with a minute left.

Livi almost opened the scoring after just two minutes through Jordyn Sheerin but the hosts did break the deadlock after a quarter of an hour.

Good work from Jordan White and Sheerin teed up Pittman, who tapped home his second goal of the season.

Sheerin headed a good chance wide for Livingston while Kevin Cawley's header flew narrowly over the bar in a rare first-half Dumbarton attack.

Despite an improved showing after the restart from the visitors, chances remained hard to come with Frazer Wright forcing Marc McCallum into an easy save.

However, Saunders slammed home a rebound after Mark Docherty's corner hit the post to seal a share of the spoils in West Lothian.
