Kidd wins it for Queen of the South

Lewis Kidd's second-half free-kick was enough to give Queen of the South a 1-0 win at Livingston in the Labrokes Scottish Championship.

Myles Hippolyte missed an early opportunity for the hosts, firing over the bar less than three minutes into the game, before Derek Lyle's shot was saved well by Livi's Darren Jamieson.

Queen of the South's Kyle Jacobs pulled an effort wide after creating space well, moments before team-mate Dale Hilson failed to keep his shot down, firing over when he unleashed from inside the box.

Ryan Conroy nearly broke the deadlock before the break when he fired low from a wide position, Jamieson reacting well to tip his effort away.

Kidd put the visitors ahead after 65 minutes, his effort from the edge of the box taking a deflection to beat the unfortunate Jamieson.

Craig Sives nearly headed the equaliser but goalkeeper Robbie Thomson made a terrific save with 10 minutes remaining, as James Fowler's men held on.
