Morton end goal drought

Rock-bottom Morton earned their third victory of the season with a 1-0 win over mid-table Livingston.

The visitors opened the scoring on the brink of half-time when Barrie McKay finished into the bottom right, scoring Morton's first goal in 526 minutes of football.

Marc McNulty thought he had fired Livingston level on the hour-mark but his goal was ruled out after being caught offside.

McNulty looked dangerous again as the home side pushed for an equaliser but it came to no avail, dragging Keaghan Jacob's pass wide.

Derek Gaston kept his side in front, stopping Jason Talbot's effort before McKay nearly doubled Morton's lead but his shot went wide.

The win from Morton still keeps them bottom of the table but ends their streak of eight games without a win.
