Wisdom rewarded by Liverpool
iverpool have handed a contract extension to promising defender Andre Wisdom.[LNB] The England Under-19 player captained the Reds' reserve team last season and was named on the bench for two matches and was also involved in Europa League squads.[LNB]Wisdom's form has continued to impress Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish and he has been rewarded with an extended deal.[LNB]"We are delighted. He made fantastic progress last season," Liverpool's director of football Damien Comolli told the club's website.[LNB]"He can play, is good on the ball, intelligent and physically very strong. He has all the ingredients to be a top defender.[LNB]"We know he is young and his position at centre-half is difficult to break into in the first team but Andre has all the qualities and skills to get there."
