Wilson hoping for more action

Danny Wilson is hoping for more first team action now. The 18 year old Scotland international made only his second appearance for the Reds in last night's 1-1 draw with Steaua Bucharest but is hoping to make a few more. "I think I did quite well. The last game I played was obviously the Northampton game, so I was looking to go out and try and do my best playing in my preferred position. I just wanted to do the best I could do and I think it went okay," said Wilson. "We got the point we needed to go through and I am happy I helped the team. "It wasn't the best night for me personally against Northampton, as well as for the team, so I was just happy to get out there and start playing again. Hopefully I did enough to get back in the reckoning. "It was good [playing last night]. Soto is a big, strong, great defender and I think we complimented each other quite well. "He is a big defender and I can still learn as I am only 18-years-old and that is what I need to do. "Going 1-0 up, we would have obviously preferred to have hung on but we got the point we needed and we can be happy we're in the next round. That's the main thing. "I know it is difficult to get into the team but I am up for the challenge. Hopefully tonight I showed what I can do and the manager can stick with me if he likes me, but if not I can start working a bit harder and be there or there abouts."
