"It's a great feeling," said the 18-year-old defender who signed for Liverpool this week.  "Wherever you go, everybody knows Liverpool and when the opportunity came about for me to come here, I was delighted and it was one I wanted to take. I'm happy to be here. "It's a massive challenge. This is one of the best leagues in the world and Liverpool are one of the biggest teams in the world. "Coming from Scotland, people may say I might not be ready for this, but that's a challenge I want to put on myself and that's the reason I came here. "Liverpool are not a team that are going to come in for you all the time, so once I was informed about their interest, I hoped the speculation would develop into something. Now that it has, I am delighted to be here. Everyone knows about Liverpool Football Club and their history - five European Cups, "They are a great club and domestically they've won 18 league titles too. It's a massive club I am joining. "There were other clubs interested but like I said, once Liverpool were in the frame there was only one team I wanted to go to. "I was made aware by the manager up at Rangers there were a couple of teams who will be playing Champions League football this season interested, but when Liverpool come calling you don't say no."
