All the talk of Adam Lallana returning to Southampton with Liverpool could take some of the focus away from the real danger areas for the Saints.

While the story of this match may well revolve around Liverpool's three summer recruits from Southampton returning to St Mary's for the first time, it's another recent returnee who may steal the show. Daniel Sturridge's return has inspired the Reds amid a fine run of form and they have been nearly twice as clinical in front of goal with him on the pitch this season than without him.
Few would have expected Liverpool to be beneath Southampton in the table after their summer raid on the Saints' stars from last term, but the traditional balance of power could soon be restored if the Reds can get a result here. They're the Premier League's form team, unbeaten in nine matches, and a win here could close the gap to a single point.
