West Ham have suffered from transfer talk, admits frustrated Zola

Fed-up Gianfranco Zola admits continued transfer speculation linking his top name stars with a move away from Upton Park has caused havoc on West Ham's poor start to the season ahead of their crucial trip to fellow Premier League strugglers Hull City. With just two wins from 12 this term the Hammers occupy 18th place, one point behind the Tigers who host Zola's side at a sell-out KC Stadium on Saturday. But with talk rife that England trio Carlton Cole, Matthew Upson and Robert Green are chief among those leading the cash-strapped club's mooted January firesale, the Italian bemoaned the negative impact it has had on his relegation threatened squad. Leading the way: In-form striker Carlton Cole is said be among the star names who could be on his way out of Upton Park in the New Year Manchester United and Liverpool are said to be leading the £20million chase for Cole while Upson and Green have both been mentioned with January transfers to improve their World Cup prospects. But Zola said: 'I know there is speculation about our players but we want to keep them.
