BOSS Roy Hodgson reflected on Liverpool's slender victory over Trabzonspor in the first leg of their Europa League play-off at Anfield last night and insisted: 'We deserved more.'[LNB]The Reds will only take a 1-0 lead to Turkey for next Thursday's second leg after spurning a host of chances.[LNB]'I think we deserved more from the game,' Hodgson said.[LNB]'In the first half we were not as good as we needed to be and we were lucky to be leading at half-time.[LNB] " We didn't cause them enough problems and we needed to play with more intensity.[LNB]'We did that in the second half and we were unlucky not to score more goals. Our performance in that second half certainly deserved a goal.[LNB]'We only have ourselves to blame in that we missed a penalty but we were unlucky with the disallowed goal.[LNB]'TV replays showed there was no real contact between Joe Cole and their keeper. The keeper was clever enough to cover up his error by pretending to be fouled.
