Liverpool struggled to muster much of a goalscoring threat as they were held in Holland by an organised Utrecht outfit.[LNB]A fairly drab affair sparkled only occasionally, most notably when, in the space of a minute early in the second half, Raul Mereiles headed a Michael Silberbauer effort off the line shortly before Fernando Torres saw his shot expertly tipped round the post. [LNB]Spaniard Torres should signs he is nearing full fitness but at times still cut a frustrated figure. [LNB]In truth Liverpool rode their luck at times. Midway through the first half Stijn Wuytens reacted quickest to a loose ball in the box, smashing it high into the visitors' net, only to see it ruled out for an earlier infringement.
