Bayern Munich are on the verge of signing Real Madrid winger Arjen Robben for £22million, according to reports in Spain. The Dutchman, who was linked with a move to back to the Barclays Premier League with either Manchester United or Liverpool, is believed to be on his way to Munich today to undergo a medical. Bayern general manager Uli Hoeness is understood to have flown to Madrid on Wednesday for talks with Real president Florentino Perez. Robben looks set to struggle for first team football in Madrid after Real signed Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United this summer and wants to leave the Bernabeu. Perez has already confirmed an agreement has been reached between the two clubs for the 25-year-old in an interview on Spanish radio station Onda Cero. But Bayern spokesman Markus Hoerwich refused to confirm the transfer and said: 'Transfers to Bayern Munich are only confirmed by us and we announce things only after we have done our homework.' The former Chelsea player would be free to make his Bayern debut in Saturday's Bundesliga clash with defending champions Wolfsburg.
