Tough at the top: Liverpool winger Maxi relishes life in the Premier League

Maxi Rodriguez believes he can tough it out at Liverpool and become a Kop idol, certain that the aggressive nature of the Premier League will bring out the best in him.

The Argentina international arrived at Anfield in January on a free transfer from Spanish side Atletico Madrid and the winger has seemingly adapted well to the quick and combative style of English football during his six appearances so far for the Reds.

And Rodriguez, 29, hopes to become a hit with the club's supporters by turning in his best ever football on Merseyside, admitting he relishes the differences from La Liga.

Tough enough: Maxi Rodriguez insists he can mix it with the best in the Premier League

'It's going fantastic so far and I couldn't have hoped for better,' he told the club's official website.
