    Torres return boosts Reds

    14 Feb 2008 - 12:31:17

Liverpool have received a massive boost with the news that top-scorer Fernando Torres will be fit to face Internazionale in the Champions League.

The 18-goal leading marksman missed last weekend's 0-0 draw with Chelsea after picking up a hamstring injury while away on international duty with Spain.

But Reds boss Rafael Benitez has revealed the former Atletico Madrid striker will be fit to face Inter Milan in next week's Champions League first leg last 16 encounter.

Benitez has also suggested that Torres could be given a run out in Saturday's FA Cup fifth round tie with Barnsley.

"For Inter, Torres will be OK. We will have to check before Barnsley," he told the club's official website.

Meanwhile, Benitez has also revealed that defensive trio Sami Hyypia, Alvaro Arbeloa and Fabio Aurelio have all returned to training following injury problems.

"I need to consider both games but I know it's important to progress in the FA Cup, so I will try to use a strong team," he added.

"Sami Hyypia is improving. He could be available, but we will have to analyse the situation.

"Torres also did the warm-up (before Thursday's training session), as well as Fabio Aurelio and Alvaro Arbeloa, and they are really close.

"Now it is about whether we will take the risk or not."
